Candidate of Record, Byron Horner, Joins Hold It All, Inc. as President.
Byron Horner, Courtenay-Alberni Conservative Association's candidate in the 2019 General Election, has informed the Board of Directors that he has accepted an executive role with the Wilson Family (founder of lululemon) to manage their financial, real estate and philanthropic affairs. The following is the text of the announcement by Hold It All Inc:
"Byron Horner, LLB MBA CFA
HOLD IT ALL INC., the holding company for the business and philanthropic interests of Chip and Shannon Wilson and their sons, is pleased to announce the appointment of Byron Horner as President.
Byron brings to the role significant family office, private equity and real estate investing and corporate finance experience. For over a decade Byron was the financial and strategic advisor for CopperLion Capital for the Washington Family. Over his career Byron has developed broad expertise in investing, corporate finance and M&A at the corporate level and as an investment banker at CIBC World Markets and Merrill Lynch in New York and Vancouver. Byron has significant corporate governance experience having served on public, private and crown corporation boards. He holds ICD.D and CFA designations, along with an MBA (UBC) and LLB (University of Toronto). Byron is an active member of his communities supporting youth and amateur sport.
For Hold it All Byron will lead strategy and operations and oversee investments for the five focus areas of apparel, real estate, philanthropy, private equity and passive investments."
Byron and his family will move to Vancouver in September, but he has indicated that they will keep their home in Parksville and that he will continue to honour his commitment a member of the EDA through the next AGM. In his note to the Board, Byron stated "I wanted to let you know about this life change for my family and I. I remain grateful for all of your support and effort in the last election. I am proud to be the candidate of record for Courtenay-Alberni, proud to be a member of the EDA and proud to be a Conservative."
