Get to Know Kris McNichol

Kris McNichol is your common sense Conservative candidate in Courtenay-Alberni.

Kris McNichol is a husband, father, grandfather, a small business owner, and a community leader who knows firsthand what it means to work hard, overcome challenges, and build something real.

Kris is not a career politician.

For over 24 years, he has built businesses from the ground up - creating jobs, providing opportunities, and fighting through every economic challenge that has come his way. He knows the weight of signing paycheques, ensuring employees can provide for their families, and navigating government red tape that makes it difficult for businesses to survive.

Kris is deeply rooted in this community. He has been living in the Parksville and Nanoose Bay area for over 30 years. During this time, he has promoted women’s sports by coaching The Rage softball team, and serving as president of the Oceanside Minor Softball Association. He supported the community as the past president of the Sproat Lake Water Sports Association and has volunteered as a firefighter.

Kris understands the frustrations of families who work long hours yet struggle to afford basic necessities, young people who can’t afford to buy a home, and seniors who built this country but now worry about making ends meet. He’s seen it. He’s lived it. And he refuses to stand by while things get worse.

Over the past eight years, the Trudeau/NDP coalition has increased the cost of housing, food, and doing business for everyone, including the families here in Courtenay-Alberni. Our region has become an unaffordable place to call home, with issues such as drug addiction, homelessness, and crime worsening.

Taxpayers deserve better and need someone who will fight back. Kris will fight for you!
